Government and Politics: This time period was in the middle of the progressive era, and thus experienced an influx of antitrust legislation, consumerism, and government reform. This time period was full of corrupted senators and political machines. Socialism also became a well supported and desired system of economy. The Presidents of this time period are Roosevelt, Taft, and Wilson.

Economy: During this period there was the panic of 1907 which lead to a need for bank reforms. There was a need for a more elastic paper based currency. This period also marked the end of bimetallism, and the beginning of the Federal Reserve System.

Entertainment and Leisure: The 1900's marked the beginning of Babe Ruth's career, the sinking of the Titanic, the beginning and rapid evolution of motion pictures, the death of the Tonalism era, and the move towards nature. All of these events had a drastic effect on the public, even to this day.

Inventions and FADS: The 1900s-1920 marked the invention of many household products designed to make maintaining a house easier for women. The invention of the airplane and affordable automobile, changed the way we moved around and fought. The creation of the television drastically changed how Sunday mornings were spent. Also created in this time period was the air conditioner and common household refrigerator. The invention and widespread sale of the radio changed the ways in which we communicated.
